AMAZON AND PROLOGIS EXPAND RELATIONSHIP:
AMAZON LEASES OVER 1M SF AT IPC

June 17, 2016

Amazon.com, Inc., the largest Internet-based retailer in the United States, joins FedEx Corporation, J.M. Smucker Company, and Medline Industries, Inc. as a tenant at International Park of Commerce (IPC) in Tracy, California. Amazon signed a lease for IPC Building 1, a 1,001,378 square foot speculative development in IPC, securing Amazon’s second location built by Prologis in Tracy. Amazon’s other fulfillment center opened three years ago and is located 8 miles from IPC 1. Associates in the new facility will pick, pack and ship larger customer items, such as big-screen televisions, sports equipment and patio furniture.

Amazon says “a prime factor in opening a facility [at IPC] is its proximity to its consumers. Tracy is on two major freeways that connect the Bay Area with the Central Valley.”
